I was born and raised in Budapest, Hungary, where from a young age, I felt a deep drive to excel. Being "the best" in school, sports, and social life was my goal, but balancing everything often left me feeling overwhelmed and exhausted. No matter how hard I worked, I always felt "behind"—a feeling I know resonates with so many of us today.
At 15, my life took a significant turn when I moved to Tokyo to live with my father. He was often away for work, so I learned early what it meant to feel alone, especially in a whole new country. Adapting to a completely different culture with no one to rely on but myself has taught me how to survive in uncertain situations, to find my own way even when everything around me felt unfamiliar or out of my control.
Looking back, I see how this time shaped my ability to understand and connect with those who feel isolated, anxious, or out of place in their own lives.
After a year in Tokyo, I moved to a small town in Iowa, USA as an exchange student. My host family showed me what love and unconditional support really look like. They helped me realize how important it is to accept myself (that I am enough, just as I am), and how much my mindset shapes my reality. It made me see opportunities, positivity, and growth, not just pressure and expectations. After realizing this, I become passionate about helping others to change their mindset and help them tap into that same self-awareness and acceptance, no matter their challenges. I truly believe changing your mindset and training yourself to see the positive is the first step to ease your anxiety and everyday stress in your life. This has become central to my work today with clients who struggle to accept themselves, just as I once did.
When I returned to Europe, I followed the expected path of "success" and pursued a degree in Business Administration and Management in Pécs, Hungary. Like many students in my course, I also tried to build a business, have a social life, and excel at school. It was slowly going to break me. When covid hit, I realized that this path wasn’t for me. I knew I wanted to build something meaningful and surround myself with driven motivated people, however, I also needed to maintain my peace of mind. That’s when I decided to move to the Netherlands and study psychology. Now, I want to help you to build and achieve while staying connected to your true self and staying free from anxiety. I honestly believe this is the only way to succeed! Currently, I’m working towards my master’s degree in Psychology in Amsterdam, specialising in Health Promotion and Behavioral Change.
Taken together, my personal experiences - adapting to new cultures, balancing the demands of building a career, and facing my own struggles with anxiety and addiction- has shaped my unique, real-world approach to therapy. I know firsthand that simply being told to "relax" or "take a break" rarely brings true relief. Instead, I work with you to get to the root of what’s holding you back, whether it’s anxiety, self-doubt, or deeply rooted patterns of thought. In high-pressure environments or times of uncertainty, it’s all too easy for negative beliefs to take control. Using a blend of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Theta Healing®, I help you gently shift these thought patterns, manage stress, and move through life with more ease and clarity. My goal is to support you in reaching your fullest potential so you can create the life and career you desire, free from the weight of stress and self-doubt.
If you feel that my approach resonates with you, I offer a free 20-minute intake session where we can discuss your goals and see if we’re a good fit.
I look forward to meeting with you!
Wishing you all the best until then,
Viktoria ✨
